About
Denise M. Laffitte López, Au.D., FAAA, is a licensed audiologist with extensive experience in hearing and balance care, audiological diagnostics, hearing aid technology, and clinical education. She earned her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry from Duke University. Throughout her career, Dr. Laffitte López has worked with patients experiencing a wide range of hearing and balance concerns while also training audiologists, students, and other healthcare professionals.
Dr. Laffitte López currently serves as a Regional Trainer with Tympa Health, where she helps healthcare providers expand access to ear and hearing healthcare through clinical training and innovative digital solutions. Previously, she spent nearly six years as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Audiologist with the University of Miami Department of Otolaryngology, where she provided comprehensive audiological care, helped manage hearing aid services, trained future clinicians, and led community outreach initiatives. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
