Verónica L. Schmidt Vega, AuD, earned her Doctor of Audiology degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Her clinical training includes comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid services, vestibular and electrophysiologic testing, cochlear implant evaluations, aural rehabilitation, and patient counseling for both adult and pediatric populations.

During her audiology externship with South Florida ENT Associates, Dr. Schmidt Vega received advanced training in cochlear implants and vestibular assessment. She has also participated in several audiology research projects and professional organizations and brings a strong commitment to patient-centered hearing healthcare. She is a native Spanish speaker, is advanced in English, and has basic proficiency in American Sign Language.
